Founder's Profile
Marina Traikou is a dedicated bilingual educator whose work aligns deeply with AGOGI’s mission to promote Greek language, culture, and identity through high-quality education. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has taught Greek language at all levels, guiding learners from early childhood through adulthood and preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Her approach combines linguistic development with cultural immersion, ensuring that students not only learn the language but also connect meaningfully with the heritage, history, and values it carries.
Alongside her expertise in Greek language instruction, Marina has a strong background in teaching English language and literature, curriculum development, and holistic educational practice. She holds a Master of Education focused on emotional intelligence and adolescent behavior, and she is currently a Doctor of Education (EdD) candidate at UCAM, Spain. Her doctoral research explores teachers’ mental health and well-being, reflecting her commitment to creating nurturing, empathetic, and supportive learning environments — principles that are fundamental to AGOGI’s philosophy.
Marina’s educational approach integrates empathy, creativity, and academic rigor. Through her training in child development, psychology, special educational needs, Montessori methods, and leadership, she brings a comprehensive, student-centered perspective to AGOGI. Her passion is to inspire learners of all ages, strengthen their connection to the Greek language and culture, and help them grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy.
